2020 has been a strange year for everyone so far. Working from home, starting things anew, updating expectations — all of this we have been doing while going through these tough and weird times. P1K is not an exception here: we have been growing, working remotely, moving to a new office, and starting Loio, a completely new project, throughout the last eight months.
Still, all of us need an occasional reality check. Simple and clear things that put us together and remind us who we are, what we do, and why do it. For P1K, a team retreat to Hoverla, a 2061-meter beauty and the highest point of Ukraine, was our collective reality check.
Through sweat, laughs, helping hands, and more sweat (yeah, it was +24 degrees and sunny on the ascent day) we did it, all of us. Needless to say, the view from atop was fantastic!
But the view was hardly our main goal on Hoverla. Most importantly, we had our own reality check. Physical labor, actual human conversations outside of Zoom, and an unfamiliar challenge of conquering the highest mountain in the country — those were the things that truly mattered. Now, refreshed, we will continue moving to the point.
Stay safe and keep reaching your personal peaks!
